My Promise to Palmetto
1. Champion Critical Infrastructure Improvements
Palmetto’s infrastructure must support both our current residents and future growth. Our sewage and wastewater systems are foundational to public health, environmental protection, and responsible development.
I will advocate for proactive investment in upgrading and maintaining our sewage infrastructure so we are not reacting to crises but planning ahead. Strong infrastructure protects our waterways, supports economic growth, and ensures new development does not outpace our capacity.
Smart infrastructure planning today prevents costly problems tomorrow.
2. Strengthen and Support Local Businesses
Small businesses are the backbone of Palmetto’s economy. They create jobs, build community identity, and keep dollars circulating locally.
I will work to ensure existing businesses feel supported, heard, and valued. That includes streamlining processes, reducing unnecessary barriers, and making it easier to operate and expand within our city.
At the same time, we must be strategic and creative about attracting new businesses that align with Palmetto’s character and long-term vision. By empowering city staff to think innovatively and collaboratively, we can cultivate sustainable economic growth that benefits everyone.
3. Revitalize and Reimagine Downtown Palmetto
Downtown Palmetto should be a vibrant, welcoming hub for residents and visitors alike. Revitalization does not mean losing our identity — it means building on our history while preparing for the future.
I will support thoughtful redevelopment efforts that enhance walkability, improve public spaces, and encourage a mix of local shops, dining, and community events. A thriving downtown strengthens property values, supports entrepreneurs, and gives residents a place they are proud to call the heart of the city.
Revitalization must be strategic, balanced, and community-informed.
4. Practice Conservative Fiscal Stewardship
Taxpayer dollars should be managed with discipline, transparency, and accountability.
I am committed to careful budgeting, long-term financial planning, and resisting unnecessary government overspending. Every decision should reflect a clear return on investment for the residents of Palmetto.
Strong fiscal stewardship ensures we can maintain essential services, invest in priorities like infrastructure and public safety, and remain financially stable even during economic uncertainty.
Responsible, Conservative leadership means spending wisely — not simply spending more.
5. Keep Government Simple and Community-Focused
Local government works best when it is efficient, accessible, and focused on solving real problems.
I believe in practical, common-sense solutions — not unnecessary complexity. Residents should be able to understand how decisions are made, access services easily, and feel confident their concerns are being heard.
Keeping it simple means cutting through bureaucracy, prioritizing what truly matters, and ensuring Palmetto remains a community where people feel connected, respected, and supported.
